Tank Roof Service R35.

Geometry, analysis and remaining engineering work for Tank Roof Service R35.

Retained development study. Dimensions, names and checks belong to this revision—not automatically to the retrofit-only product. Manufactured tank shells are deferred. No installation instruction, certification or manufacturing release is represented.

The source reasoning

Why this detail was investigated.

The rigid roof solid has a clear positive-Z removal direction from both current grooved shell sizes and their standard partitions. All stationary solids lie at or below the roof's minimum Z, so a positive vertical translation separates their vertical bounds continuously.

The detail behind
the study.

Source-linked work for this revision. Reported checks describe the stated model or test; physical qualification and applicability to the current retrofit remain separate.

Geometric proof and exclusions

This is not a field lifting procedure. The analysis excludes gasket release/deformation, clamps, lifting hardware and loads, external connections, soil/excavation and operating isolation. Riser and lid attachment strength is not established. It does not authorize lifting the assembled tank or handling a roof by an access opening.

Before manufacturing release, the roof assembly still needs defined laminate/material properties, load cases, retained attachments, qualified lifting provisions, seal behavior, clamping, inspection criteria and a supported service procedure. The empty mechanical path cannot supply those missing requirements.
