Product family / Design study / COMPLETION-AUDIT-R23

See what the models establish.

A request-by-request record of visual coverage and unfinished physical engineering.

Retained development study. Dimensions, names and checks belong to this revision—not automatically to the retrofit-only product. Manufactured tank shells are deferred. No installation instruction, certification or manufacturing release is represented.

The source reasoning

Why this detail was investigated.

A complete image library is different from a qualified product. This review records that distinction across the tanks, cable, controller and electronics.

Read the research and limits

Research record

The detail behind
the study.

Source-linked work for this revision. Reported checks describe the stated model or test; physical qualification and applicability to the current retrofit remain separate.

The current visual library is complete for six main products. Physical designs and electronics remain partial. This record follows the requests individually so a render, a STEP file and a tested product are never confused.

Download the septic repository and create an editable CAD workflow

Local Git checkout and executable parametric CAD pipeline exist. Models retain source and export evidence.

Still open: No repository push or deployment is included in this audit.

Use original Subfield branding and a sleek protective-case product direction

Current six-product presentation uses Subfield identity, rectangular graphite/orange tanks and rounded white electronics enclosures.

Still open: Final design acceptance and production finish/material specifications remain open.

Apply the rectangular tank design to all four tank models

SUB1500, SUB2000, SUBENG1500 and SUBENG2000 use the R12 family in current CAD-derived images. 1500 and 2000 families have distinct body lengths.

Still open: The engineered variants are shell concepts; their process internals are incomplete.

Give each tank a clear model name and colored badge

All four requested SUB model names and separate badge colors are in current tank records.

Still open: Production label process, permanence and final artwork approval are open.

Make actual CAD and rendered proportions match

42 current views use CAD meshes; 24 exterior/section STEP exports have successful round trips.

Still open: Historical generated reference images are not manufacturing geometry. A matching mesh does not prove manufacturability.

Simplify manufacturing and retain complexity only when useful

The current protective-case family is substantially simpler than older structural studies.

Still open: Recess/rib weight benefits, laminate schedule, tooling, draft, tolerances, roof joint and load qualification are not established.

Research LTT TrueSpec and adapt thick cables, wire and connectors

Research, layered cable CAD, individual conductor strands, connector/cap geometry and successive retention/seal studies exist.

Still open: Released pinout, selected contacts, conductor duty, cable length performance, strain anchorage, stop retention, sealing and environmental tests remain open. Thick does not mean waterproof.

Use one sleek serviceable controller cabinet with bottom conduits

Unified rounded cabinet with bottom conduit envelopes, inside-door PCB above the touchscreen, physical hinges and connected folding-stay geometry. R28 has 229 parts and 11 passing sampled poses.

Still open: Stay branch guidance and load/retention qualification, closure/gasket compression, selected conduit fittings, door harness, real power equipment, thermal/clearance and environmental qualification remain open.

Offer a standalone alarm and make it distinct from the controller

A separate, smaller ALARM enclosure and identifying artwork appear in the current family.

Still open: Alarm circuit, sounder, backup energy, service closure, penetrations and installed seals are not integrated.

Consolidate unnecessary exterior boxes into controller/alarm functions

Catalog presents four tanks, one controller and one alarm. Hub, Field Node and Adapter are interface roles under review rather than default extra products.

Still open: Physical tank-side sensing and distribution cannot be assumed eliminated; integration engineering remains open.

Fully design a custom control board for floats, sensors, pumps and tank hub

164-part board placement study, proposed I/O allocation and cabinet fit are supplied.

Still open: No complete schematic, validated footprints, routed PCB, selected production BOM, power/isolated interfaces, EMC or hardware qualification. Equipment requirements are missing.

Explain and provide a breadboard concept test

USB-only switch/LED bench guide, wiring CSV/SVG, BOM, MicroPython code and seven host tests are supplied.

Still open: Physical breadboard assembly and measurements have not occurred. It is not a pump controller or field-wiring test.

Show the touchscreen and explain system operation

Screen mounting geometry, static feature presentation, I/O descriptions and bench behavior are documented.

Still open: Actual display selection, interface, functional touchscreen software, production control state machine and complete fault response require implementation and validation.

Make all products watertight and properly engineered

Seal and enclosure geometry studies exist with their limitations recorded.

Still open: No verified waterproof rating, approved material/process, validated tolerance stack or physical ingress test. Current controller/alarm assemblies are not release-ready.

Pass all government standards, agencies and counties

A preliminary jurisdiction/application matrix is added in R23; existing R12 tank access gauge checks are retained.

Still open: Santa Cruz County is the recorded first market; the complete site/operating envelope, applicable editions, qualified review, test reports and agency decisions remain open. There is no universal county approval.

Finish all models for manufacturing

Editable models, STEP exports, component studies and fit evidence exist.

Still open: The old 150-scope ledger is historical. Full current assembly coverage, process internals, selected purchased parts, released drawings/BOMs/tooling/QA and qualification are unfinished.

Create many cross-sections, service views and different use cases

Each of the six main products has hero, rear, three CAD sections, service and placement views.

Still open: Placement is illustrative. Component-level studies outside the six-product lineup do not all have the R22 view set; validated installation/operation scenarios are not complete.

Prepare full web-ready shop assets

42 master views, 126 responsive WebPs, six GLBs and a portable web archive are prepared. Current gallery uses these images.

Still open: Live shop integration, browser/AR testing, commercial release and any purchasing workflow are not completed.
